MILLGROVE / PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Battling up front in the final two races of the 2024 Just Foam It OSCAAR Modified season, A.J. Emms picked up a pair of top-10 finishes.
Taking the green flag in fifth for the feature, Emms looked to make his way forward through the 40 lap affair. He was able to get up as high as third, when a caution came out relegating him back a spot to fourth when scoring went back a lap. Restarting on the high side would prove to be a disadvantage, ultimately seeing Emms cross the finish line in fifth.
A week later, the series travelled to Peterborough Speedway for the finale. Emms missed qualifying on Friday night, relegating him to starting tail on the field for Sunday. He made his way forward through the opening half, moving up into the fifth spot by the halfway mark.
The result builds upon the team’s successful Just Foam it OSCAAR Modified series numbers, which include 45 heat wins (2nd all-time), 61 top-five’s (series leading) and 75 top-10’s (series leading) in 91 starts. The sixth at Peterborough was his 23rd consecutive top-10, which is a series record.
Emms Racing is currently preparing for A.J. Emms’ 10th season behind the wheel of a modified. The 2023 season featured a lot of success, highlighted by three trips to victory lane and setting the OSCAAR series record for the most podium finishes consecutively. The 2019 OSCAAR Modified Champion is currently ranked at the top for series starts and career top-10’s.
