A.J. Emms Scores Heat Victory at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario —- The hard work through the off-season paid off for Emms Racing as A.J. Emms showed speed throughout qualifying for Spring Velocity on Saturday at Sunset Speedway.

Emms started off his season on a high note, winning his opening qualifier following a battle with fellow competitor Chad Strawn through the second half. He then backed up the performance by scoring a third-place finish in the second heat.

Unfortunately, Sunday would see precipitation throughout the day, forcing track officials to call the event early without running the 40-lap feature. OSCAAR staff announced afterwards that drivers would be awarded their heat points accordingly, along with 50 show-up points.

The next event for Emms behind the wheel of the No. 14 OSCAAR Modified is at Jukasa Motor Speedway on June 1.
