HAGERSVILLE, Ontario — Battling handling issues through the 40-lap feature, A.J. Emms scored an 11th-place finish on Sunday afternoon at Jukasa Motor Speedway.
The No. 14 Modified showed speed in qualifying on Saturday, as Emms was able to score the victory in heat race. He would then draw the seventh-place starting spot for the feature.
On the drop of the green flag, he would hold his position in the top-10 in the early stages. However, the handling issues became relevant as the race went on, with Emms dropping back to 11th on Lap 14.
Despite fighting issues through the rest of the event, he continued to battle hard for positions, dropping back to 13th at one point, but ultimately crossing the finish line with an 11th-place finish.
