PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Battling upfront throughout the 40-lap feature on Saturday night, A.J. Emms scored his second podium finish of the season.
Emms was quick from the start of the night, making his way through the field in his first heat to score a runner-up finish. He then used a front row starting in the second qualifier to score his first win of the season.
Starting fourth in the feature, he ran solidly in the top-five through the first half of the event, before using a pair of restarts in the second half to move up two spots to second. He would find himself close to eventual feature winner Cory Horner, but was unable to find a way by, crossing the finish line in the runner-up spot. It marks his second podium of the season after finishing second at Jukasa Motor Speedway in June.
The OSCAAR Modifieds will be back in action at Sauble Speedway on August 11 with event details are located at https://www.saublespeedway.ca. Emms knows how to get the job done there, as he won the feature last season.
Emms Racing is proud to be supported by BAE Environmental, FMR Scrap Buyers, Artech Promotional Products, Klotz Canada, WIX Filters, Peter Built Racecars, TSS Top Shops, and Creecher’s Design for 2018.
